AGES SERVED
Northridge Family Childcare is specializing in INFANTS, TODDLERS, and PRESCHOOL age children. We are serving children ages 0-5 years old.
TEACHER/CHILD RATIO
We are Large Family Daycare supervised by an EXPERIENCED and CREDENTIALED TEACHER who holds a California Program Director Permit in the field of EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. Our ratio is in compliance with the State Licensing Guidelines.
CURRICULUM & PROGRAM
As we are using play-based approach, our curriculum is designed to achieve the following AREA of DEVELOPMENT:
A. Reading and Language

While our program’s goal is to support your child’s interests, your child will be engaged in the following Daily Activities:
- Show and Tell, Storytime
- Play-dough, Painting, coloring, sand and water
- Building Blocks, Puzzles, and other manipulative toys
- Singing, Dancing, Finger Play
- Out-door play/walk to the park
- Individual and Group Play
DISCIPLINE
Northridge Family Childcare practices POSITIVE DISCIPLINE in guiding the child. Here are some strategies used to help child develop self-control, sensitivity in their interactions with others, problem solving, sharing, and ensure order and safety.
- Reinforcing appropriate behavior.
- Asking versus Telling
- Focusing on the child’s behavior.
- Facilitate problem solving.
- Taking turns.
- Re-directing
- Help listening the first time by establishing eye contact to gain child’s attention.
- Close supervision.
- Encourage to use words rather than force.
FOOD PROGRAM, RATES & SUBSIDIES
Northridge Family Childcare is Participating Childcare Food Program.
Serving healthy and nutritious meals is our priority. Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, and PM Snack are served daily.
Affordable tuition fee. Rates available upon request.
We accept all kind of childcare subsidies like 4C”s, Calworks, etc.
DISASTER PLAN
Fire and Earthquake drills are conducted every 2ND Wednesday of the month. In the event of fire or other emergency where we have to evacuate, we will assemble and wait for parents at the Northridge Park. In the event of quake, we will assemble at the ground of Westmoor High School. (By Westmoor & Southgate)
